Welwyn Garden City’s Alison Waters has been handed a tough draw for the finals of the PSA World Series.

The 33-year-old, who trained with Potters Bar’s Paul Carter, will face top-seed Camille Serne from France, Egypt’s first-ever world number one Raneem El Welily and 19-year-old Nouran Gohar.

The five-day event, held in Dubai early next month, brings together the cream of squash talent and the other group has pitted three World Championship winners, Egyptian Nour El Sherbini, Malaysia’s eight-time winner Nicol David and defending World Series champion Laura Massaro alongside debutant Sarah-Jane Perry.

The action gets underway on June 6 with the top two from each group qualifying for the semi-finals on June 9.

The final takes place on June 10.

All matches will be shown live on Eurosport Player with Waters getting her campaign underway at 11am in the UK.
