Welwyn Garden City squash star Alison Waters has returned to the top 10 of the PSA World Rankings for November.

Last month the 32-year-old slipped down to 14th, however following good performances in America the former world number three has climbed back up the list.

Waters moved up four places after reaching the Carol Weymuller Open final.

She was beaten in that 13-11, 11-6, 11-3 by Egypt’s world number one Nour El Sherbini.

To reach the final Waters had knocked out France’s world number six Camille Serme at the semi-final stage.

Earlier in October the player, who lives in Herts, had also made the quarter-finals of the Delaware Investments US Open losing out to eventual finalist El Sherbini who lost the final to Serme 3-1.
