GOSLING'S squash teams have had a busy couple of weeks with many sides involved in county ties.

The 2nd team in the U17 age group came up against West Herts.

Playing at No 1 for Gosling was Adam Norris, who faced a tough opponent in Lee Rossiter.

Adam lost the first game 9-6, but fought back hard to win the next two games 9-6 and 9-6.

However, Lee proved to have more stamina and went on to win the next two games convincingly.

Playing second string for Gosling was Tom Bensley, who had a fairly comfortable 3-0 win against Harry Penny, the score 9-0, 10-9, 9-3.

At number three Gosling fielded reserve player Chris Roper, who at 14 years old is playing up an age group.

Chris met West Herts' Nicky Rossiter, the younger brother to Lee, and rose to the challenge well.

He won his match 9-0, 6-9, 9-6, 9-8 after a nail-biting last game, giving Gosling a 2-1 victory.

Gosling's second division team in the U13 age group came face to face with Potters Bar and Radlett recently.

Playing for Gosling were Isaac Freckleton, Chloe Yiangou and Amy Reynolds.

Against Bar, Isaac came up against a tough opponent in Tim Richards and, although putting up an inspired challenge, he lost 3-0.

Chloe had a well-matched game against Robert McVellor and fought hard for a 3-1 win.

Amy, playing Emily Hamb, won convincingly 3-0, giving Gosling a 2-1 victory.

Radlett fielded a much stronger team and although the Gosling's side fought till the end, they were defeated 3-0 overall.

Brad lost to West Herts' county number two Jack Fowler 3-1 overall.

Chris lost to Lee Rossiter 3-0 and Patrick beat his opponent 3-0. The final score was 2-1 to West Herts.

The seconds took on Hazelwood, with Charity Price, playing at No 1, losing in the deciding fifth game by just two points.
