Potters Bar Town's consistently inconsistent Isthmian League season continues with a disappointing defeat at home to Hashtag United.
Toby Aromolaran put the Tags in front in the first half and Josh Osude made it 2-0 inside the first minute of the second half.
Steve Cawley scored within seconds of coming on to give the Scholars home but Mert Apat, Andronicos Georgiou and a Misha Djemaili penalty completed a forgettable night for the hosts.
Bar manager Max Mitchell made the one change from the win over Canvey Island on Saturday.
Ronnie Henry returned to the side in favour of Khale Da Costa.
Other than that it was pretty much the same system as that win and the boss had plenty of positive things to say about the performance.
The first half would not have brought any such comments.
It wasn't that the effort was missing but they were too rushed in everything they did. That meant every pass, every cross and every shot was not as good as it needed to be.
They still hit the post but that was more by luck than judgement, the ball bobbling about, and there was a couple of decent crosses by Joe Payne from set-pieces but all were not capitalised on.
Joe Re sent a ball over the top and then Henry came close to getting on the end of a corner.
But Jack Giddens wasn't worked at all and neither was Bar keeper Cian Moore.
One dropped cross was missed by the swinging foot of Apat while Matthew Wooldridge lashed a shot over the top.
The goal was decent from a Hashtag point of view but the Scholars will think they could have done better.
Luke May-Parrott picked it up deep on the left, ran inside slightly and was able to slide a pass into the middle for Aromolaran to poke in from a few yards.
It was clear something would change at the break and it turned out to be personnel, Nana Kyei coming on for Stevenson.
The sub barely had time to draw breath when Bar were kicking off again, 2-0 down.
A long ball forward was flicked on and Osude went running in and ahead of the Bar defence. That allowed him to put it across Moore and into the corner.
A superb Rickie Hayles tackle shortly after prevent a third and it seemed that in their desperation, Bar were leaving gaps behind.
A triple substitution brought some stability and then, within seconds, a goal.
George Abbott through the ball to Cawley, one of those to come on, and he caressed his shot round Giddens and into the far corner.
An injury to Hayles with 20 minutes to go was not in the Scholars script and it may have been partly to blame for the third Hashtag goal.
A corner came from the right and it led to the mother of all scrambles, although it appeared, the longer it went on, that the Bar would get away with it.
However, it ran loose one time too many and Apat poked it home.
It would get worse for Mitchell's men though as former Stevenage junior and St Albans City forward Georgiou scored his first for the club and then Djemaili scored a penalty in stoppage time.
They weren't as bad as the score suggests but this is one to forget.
