It was honours even in the latest round of races at Welwyn Garden City Sailing Club.

David Lambert took the honours in race one on Stanborough Lake but had to settle for third in the second outing.

That meant the final result for the Burgee award tied him with Alan Campbell who was second in both races.

The patchy wind, replete with some very strong gusts at times, meant they did not have it all their own way because in the second race Angelo Hansen kept close enough to them in his slower boat to win on corrected time.

He was placed third overall.

His astonishing progress over the last year means he carries a more severe handicap, something which plagued him when the regular adjustment of personal handicaps was applied.

It left his second in the Wee Auld Mug competition behind brother Francis.

Lambert was third with Campbell in fourth.
