Welwyn Garden City Football Club have announced a new sponsorship deal that will cover all of their teams.

The Herns Lane club have agreed terms with Welham Green-based Pexhurst, a long-term supporter of grassroots football whose primary business has grown from simple office fit outs to delivering large-scale refurbishments for a range of commercial, industrial and private sector clients.

The deal will see Pexhurst sponsoring all teams from the U13s through to the senior men, adding their name and branding to all the kits as well as signage and the club programme.

They have also agreed naming rights for the ground which will now be known as the Pexhurst Stadium.

The deal will support Welwyn's plans on the field for the new Southern League Division One Central campaign, allowing for investing in its players.

It is something vice chairman David Coates is delighted to see.

He said: "Sponsorship is essential to a club of our size to maintain a competitive squad for the season ahead.

"It is fantastic to have a local business working with us to do just that.

"Pexhurst are highly successful and we are delighted to have them on board, not only with the first team but also with the academy sides."

Pexhurst director Nick Tagliarini added: "We hope to establish a long-term partnership together, with the immediate goal of seeing Welwyn Garden City promoted to step three football, which is three divisions away from league football."
