Welwyn Garden City have continued their impressive summer business with the capture of two very experienced players.

James Kaloczi is best known for his three spells at St Albans City in National League South where he made 138 appearances and scored 14 goals.

The central defender, who can also operate in midfield, counts Hemel Hempstead Town and Kings Langley as former clubs as well.

The second new face is also a former member of St Albans City but is more known for his exploits in the last few years.

Striker Brad Wadkins makes the switch from Southern League Division One Central champions Berkhamsted, who he joined in December from Kings Langley.

He went on to score eight for them in 25 appearances.

His list of previous clubs starts with Chesham United, breaking into their first team having begun as a youth-teamer, before spells with Saints, Hendon Aylesbury Vale Dynamos, Chesham again, Slough Town and Enfield Town.

WGC manager Marc Weatherstone said: "I’ve been trying to sign Brad for some time. He’s a top striker who will improve our squad a great deal.

"I’m really looking forward to seeing him in a WGC shirt."

Dernell Wynter was Welwyn's first capture of the summer.

The Citizens have also announced their retained list from last year's campaign, with remaining at Herns Lane.

They are Charlie Crowley, Lee Axell, Harvey Steel, Josh Steele, Zak Browne, Ryan Doherty, Yasin Boodhoo, Ethan Kessell, James Mulley, Bailey Stevenson, Henry Jones, Lucas Jordan, Phil Lowen and Jack Vasey.

City's pre-season fixture list has also been amended.

They start at Cockfosters on July 8 before a home game with Chesham on July 15.

Games away to Wingate & Finchley and Northwood are followed by home games with Enfield Town (July 25), Brightlingsea Regent (July 29) and Dulwich Hamlet (Aug 1).

The last one is away to Basildon United on August 5.
