Welwyn Garden City manager Marc Weatherstone has re-modelled his backroom team ahead of the upcoming season.

Weatherstone will still have Josh Urquhart as his assistant alongside him but has now added both a first team and goalkeeping coach as well as a new physiotherapist.

Lee Hawkes is the new first-team coach. Only 26, he already comes with two seasons of management behind him and another as an assistant, all of which were at Spartan South Midlands League Division One Ampthill Town.

Weatherstone said: "I was very impressed with Lee when we met recently. He is young and hungry to do well. Just the sort of coach I want aboard."

Ryan Court knows the area well having been goalkeeping coach during Lee O'Leary's reign at neighbours Potters Bar Town.

His most recent appointment was as ladies' manager at Isthmian League North club Bowers & Pitsea.

Newly in charge of the treatment room is physio Rachel Wong.

She has been recruited by Weatherstone from one of his former clubs, Enfield Town, and has worked extensively in Canada, being involved in American Football while she was in North America.
