Potters Bar made it two wins from two games played after a derby success over North Mymms in the Herts Cricket League Premiership.

Played on Mymms' Home Farm ground, Bar batted first and made 236 before being bowled out in the 47th over.

The hosts' reply faltered though and they fell 102 runs short.

Bar made one change from the previous week's success over West Herts, Teddy Duke replacing the unavailable Reece Hussain.

And after winning the toss, Luke Chapman's decision to bat first looked questionable as James Seward was bowled in the fifth delivery by Richard Oxley.

Aussie import Esam Rahman came in but after two lovely boundaries, he was dismissed to leave Potters 30-2 after six overs.

The Scott brothers, Charlie and James, tried to fix things and they managed a 50 partnership in almost a run-a-ball before James was out for 39.

The next crucial partnership was for the fifth wicket, Charlie Scott and Thilan Walallawita putting on 63 before the Middlesex man was out for 43 in 31 deliveries.

Scott departed soon after for 59, caught by an excellent diving effort from Dharmarajsinh Jhala at backward point, but the defining partnership belonged to Chapman (26) and Duke (14) who batted the hosts out of the contest.

They put on 38 in 63 balls to get past the 225 mark.

Zaid Kureshi was the pick of the Mymms bowlers, taking 3-21, while there were two wickets each for Yuvresh Malhotra and Jakob Bhula.

However, the reply was as good as done inside 47 balls as they found themselves 25-5 and then 42-6.

Richard Soulsby managed 29 and Malhotra 40 but Bar's spin trio of Chapman, Walallawita and Anmol Maheshram soon wrapped up proceedings.

James Scott (3-17) and Jigar Mehta (3-29) led the visitors' charge, Maheshram managing 2-9 for good measure.

Potters Bar host Radlett on Saturday while Mymms are at home again with West Herts the visitors.
