It was a golden meet for Herts Phoenix as they claimed medal after medal in the county championships.

Held at the Woodside Stadium in Watford, Phoenix, who themselves train at Gosling in Welwyn Garden City, claimed a total of 24 medals, 13 of them gold.

Fin Norman led the way, clocking a PB of 52.36 seconds to win the U17 men's 400m and he was joined in the exclusive quickest ever and gold club by Matthew Viney, the winner of the U13 boys 200m.

The Rizzo sisters were both victorious, Lucia winning double gold in the U20 women shot and discus while Tiana took the win in the U17 women 100m.

There were other U17 winners too, Max Chisholm in the 400m hurdles, Bethany Botheras (400m) and Imogen List (discus).

Emily Hack and Sophie Segun were winners in the senior women events, the 400m and 100m respectively.

Ena Olivier U20 high jump, Nathan Reeves in the long jump and U13 Miles Boston in the high jump.

The six silver medals were claimed by Zac Christodoulou (U13 boys 200m), Melody Spies (U17 women shot), Beck Grover (400m senior men), Emma Gudgeon (U15 girls 400m) and Louise Grenfell (U20 women’s 400m).

The bronze medals were claimed by Tofunmi Falegan in the U15 boys' 100m, Jack Offord (U20 men 400m), Noah Jones (U15 boys 200m), Freddie Hollings-Yates (U15 boys 800m), Daniel Biddulph (U20 men 800m) and Eloise Meakins (senior women javelin).
