The conditions for the latest round of races at Welwyn Garden City Sailing Club were described as "lively" - but they still produced some fascinating battles.
Held at Stanborough Lakes, the stiff breeze took its toll over the morning leaving just three boats in the fast fleet, won by Alan Campbell with Dave Lambert and Roger Morse getting a second place each over the morning.
It was a similar story for the slow fleet too as they were much reduced. Annette Walter took the win here with Al Jose second and Angelo Hansen third in both races.
Campbell was the clear-cut winner of the combined fleet racing with Walter the runner up.
Morse and Jose shared third place while Angelo Hansen did well to survive the gusts and finish both races with an overall fifth place as well as the first junior.
