Golf competitions are well under way at Brookmans Park Golf Club as the new season commences.
All the club teams are looking forward to matches against other local clubs which are starting in the next few weeks.
But before they do the annual inter-club curtain raiser took place with Park's A team taking on the B squad, now known as the club team.
The course was in great condition in the spring sunshine and the 20-a-side match was tightly contested with the club team just coming out on top by the narrowest of margins.
In other competitions the men’s division one medal was won by Nick Jarman and the division two medal by Prev Selvarajah, both producing excellent scores below their handicaps.
The ladies Texas scramble was a tightly fought contest with the team of Emma Kight, Sheila Langley and Sian Shrimpton-Davies just coming out on top.
The club have been pleased to welcome a number of new members who have joined in recent weeks but there are still membership opportunities available.
