Under the government shut down guidelines, shops and food deliveries are still allowed to stay open.

Our NHS and care workers were clapped from balconies and windows at 8pm last night by people across Welwyn Hatfield and Potters Bar.

Online community lottery plans, to boost funds for local good causes, have been put forward by Hertsmere Borough Council.

Parking charges and parking enforcement have been mostly suspended in Welwyn Hatfield and Hertsmere in response to the coronavirus outbreak.

Since people have been urged people to stay indoors, Welwyn Hatfield and Potters Bar places of worship have moved online.

A Battle of the Bands competition in Potters Bar was won by four boys from Enfield Grammar School.

This year’s Potters Bar Carnival has been cancelled due to coronavirus fears.

In line with the Government’s response to COVID-19, gyms have been shut since Friday across Welwyn Hatfield including at WGC’s Gosling, Hatfield Leisure Centre and Potters Bar’s Furzefield Leisure Centre.

Welwyn Roman Baths, Mill Green Mill and Museum and Cuffley Library have closed due to the coronavirus.
