ONE of fashion’s most colourful designers has launched her latest bed linen range with a Welham Green home furnishings company.

Zandra Rhodes unveiled her flamboyant Autumn/Winter 2011 collection at an exclusive event in London, during the London Design Festival.

She was joined by representatives from the Ashley Wilde Group, based in Travellers Close, Welham Green, which has created the striking new designs in accordance with Zandra’s vision.

The bold designs are based on revamped versions of some of the veteran stylist’s vintage designs from the 1970s, with duvets and pillowcases embracing classic themes from Zandra’s original collections.

At the Neville Johnson furniture showroom in Wigmore Street, Zandra said: “This is a very individual collection.

“I love the way by dressing up the bed you are dressing up your entire bedroom.

“You can decorate your room by choosing these designs.”

Ashley Wilde chief executive Ashley Brodin said: “The press interest has been absolutely fantastic.

“We had a lot of designers and customers come and look at the new range and they all said it was the best range she’d ever designed with us.

“It’s very bold and commercial. She’s such an iconic designer and it’s been very, very well received.”

The new Zandra Rhodes Autumn/Winter collection is available now in a range of stores across the country.
