Police were called to reports of youths climbing on the roof of the former Shredded Wheat factory in Welwyn Garden City.

A police spokeswoman said: “Police were called at 6.21pm yesterday (Thursday) to reports of youths on the roof of the old Shredded Wheat building on Broadwater Road, Welwyn Garden City.

“Officers searched the area and spoke to security and nothing untoward was found.”

The site has been closed to the public for years and was recently sold by Tesco to enable housing to be developed.
