Intimate possessions of former England goalkeeper David James, one of Welwyn Garden City’s most distinguished sons, are being sold to pay his debts.

The former pupil of Sir Frederic Osborn School, 44, declared himself bankrupt in May, and today the official trustee has announced an online auction of his possessions.
