Young child suffers serious head injury in Potters Bar

A young child was sedated and airlifted to hospital from Potters Bar after suffering a serious head injury.

The ambulance service received a call on Saturday, July 8, at 4.21pm to reports of a child who had suffered a fall in Darkes Lane in Potters Bar.

A rapid response vehicle, ambulance crew, and air ambulance from Essex & Herts Air Ambulance (EHAAT) were dispatched to the scene.

A spokesman for the ambulance service said: “Medics treated the young child for a serious head injury before sedating them and airlifting them to The Royal London Hospital for further care.

“They are believed to be in a serious condition.”
