THE woman at the centre of a love triangle that left one man dead, was today told she caused his murder.

Kelly Sanchez sobbed in the dock as St Albans Crown Court heard she was the "link" between her boyfriend John Redhead and the man accused of killing him, Mark Russell.

The 21-year-old denied egging Russell on as he stabbed her boyfriend four times in Potters Bar.

Prosecutor Anne Evans told Sanchez in front of the jury of six men and six women: "You saw Russell stick the knife into the defenceless John Redhead four times.

"You watched him murder your boyfriend in cold blood.

"You are the only reason that this has happened, and you were laughing."

Jurors heard earlier this week that Russell claimed he was acting in self-defence.

Russell, 31, of Chester Close, Little Heath, denies murder.

Sanchez of Mutton Lane, Potters Bar, denies aiding and abetting her co-defendant.

The trial continues.
