AN X Factor star will be on their way to Welwyn Hatfield to switch on the lights at a shopping centre.

Mystery surrounds as to who the act, turning up at the Galleria, will be, however it is likely to be one of this year’s contestants.

A spokeswoman for the Comet Way outlet centre said even they do not know who the act will be yet.

She said: “Tension is mounting and there’s great anticipation about which major celebrity will be switching on the Galleria’s 2010 glittering festive lights display.

“After the huge success of last year’s event where star dance troupe Diversity packed the centre with screaming fans, marketing manager Ellie Penny has been in intense negotiations to secure the very best possible act.”

Ellie said: “Rumours have been rife not just in the centre but around the whole town.

“Diversity is a hard act to follow. However, I just know that visitors will be blown away by what we have in store this year.

“It’s going to be amazing!”

Who do you think that it’s going to be? Cher Lloyd, One Direction, Matt Cardle, Katie Waistell? Have you heard a rumour? Contact the newsdesk via news@whtimes.co.uk

The official announcement is due to be made some time this week – keep an eye on www.whtimes24.co.uk for the lowdown.
