A woman in her 40s has been taken to hospital following a crash on the M25 near South Mimms.

An ambulance spokeswoman confirmed she was assessed at the scene and suffered no major injuries, but was taken to Barnet Hospital as a precaution.

The accident involved a silver Vauxhall Astra, which was believed to have collided with the central reservation, on the clockwise carriageway near Junction 23 at about 2.30pm.

All lanes were closed, but Highways England confirmed they have now reopened.
