THE wing mirror of a van accidentally clipped a woman in the face as she was crossing the road.
The Chinese woman was taken to the QE2 Hospital with head injuries following the collision on a roundabout in College Lane, Hatfield, at 12.20pm on Friday.
Ambulance service spokesman Gary Sanderson said: “When paramedics were treating the patient, a member of the public who was shopping at the time, offered her assistance as the injured woman could not speak English.
“The mystery woman was able to communicate in fluent Chinese which helped the ambulance staff immensely. Her help was very much appreciated and it would be nice to congratulate her properly.”
