A YOUNG woman has been hospitalised after a head-on crash in a country road today (Monday).

Paramedics were called to Rabley Heath Road near Codicote just after 10.30am, following a collision between a silver Ford Focus and a silver Mercedes Sprinter van belonging to Hatfield-based online grocer Ocado.

Ambulance spokesman Gary Sanderson said: “A woman who we believe to be in her 20s received slight injuries to her leg.

“Following treatment at the roadside by paramedics, she was taken to the Lister Hospital [in Stevenage] for further assessments.”

Both vehicles have since been recovered and the road is now clear.
