A woman was injured in a collision on the A1(M) near Hatfield


A woman in her late 20s was taken to hospital after a collision on the A1(M) near Hatfield

The two-vehicle crash took place at 2.32pm yesterday, on the A1(M) outside Comet Way.

A silver Vauxhall Vectra and a white Ford Fiesta were involved in the collision, and the Fiesta had rolled.

When police arrived the Vectra had left the scene and was later located at Stanborough Lakes.

The ambulance service was called at 2.43pm and sent a rapid response vehicle and an ambulance crew.

A female patient in her late 20s, who was conscious and breathing, was taken to Lister Hospital for treatment.

Her injuries are not thought to be serious or life-threatening.

Both vehicles were recovered by 4.48pm.
