A WOMAN has been hospitalised after a collision with a bicycle in which she was knocked unconscious, sustaining “significant” head injuries.
Police, paramedics and the Essex Air Ambulance were called to the University of Hertfordshire’s College Lane Campus in Hatfield at 5pm today (Wednesday), following reports a 20-year-old woman had collided with a push bike near the campus, and was knocked out.
The air ambulance landed in the campus playing fields, but the women was eventually taken by land ambulance to the QE2 Hospital in WGC, where she is in a stable condition.
Ambulance service spokesman Gary Sanderson said: “We were called at 5pm to treat a woman with significant head injuries following a collision with a push bike.
“She is currently in a stable condition in the QE2.”
