Police are appealing for information and witnesses after a woman was assaulted in Hatfield.

A 45-year-old woman intervened in an argument near the Town Inn in Queensway at around 1.50am on Saturday, October 22.

The victim was standing near a kebab van when she overheard an argument between a man and a woman who were standing nearby.

When the victim intervened the man pushed her and she fell to the floor, dislocating her elbow.

The suspect is described as a man with short hair, around 5ft 6 to 5ft 8 in tall. He was wearing a grey hoodie and jeans.

PC Daniel Beach said: “We have made several enquiries into the incident, including viewing CCTV and, unfortunately, have not yet been able to trace the suspect.

“I appreciate the incident happened a few weeks ago now but I am appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time and saw what happened, or thinks they may know who was involved, to please get in touch.”
