Woman, 30, suffered broken leg in Welwyn Garden City crash, say paramedics

A WOMAN has been left with a broken leg after her car collided with a tree in Welwyn Garden City this morning (Monday).

The 30-year-old was rushed to Lister Hospital, in Stevenage, after firefighters had to remove the roof of the Ford Fiesta to free her.

Ambulance services were alerted of the crash, which took place in Birchall Lane, in Cole Green Lane, just after 5.30am.

The road had to be closed but was reopened by 7.30am.
