Detectives are investigating after a man indecently exposed himself in front of a woman in Hatfield.

Officers today (Tuesday) released an appeal for information about the exposure, which happened in broad daylight on Friday.

A woman in her 40s was in Furzen Crescent at around 1.30pm when she saw the man in a black vehicle, possibly a Ford, which had tinted windows.

When she challenged him about his actions, he drove away.

He is described as white, slim and in his 20s or 30s.

He was bald, had prominent teeth and a skinny face.

Det Con Glen Turrell-Oldacre, investigating, said: “This incident happened during the middle of the day and it’s possible there may have been other people around when it occurred.

“I would like to hear from anyone who remembers seeing a black vehicle in the area or anything else unusual or suspicious.

“Any information, however insignificant it may seem, may prove very useful to our investigation.”

Anyone with any information is asked to contact DC Turrell-Oldacre through the police non-emergency number, 101, quoting crime reference B2/14/3209.

Alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
