Witness appeal after attack in lay-by

A MAN was attacked from behind on a footpath during the early hours of Saturday morning.

The pitch black assault happened in near the lay-by of the Brocket Hall estate off Marford Road, in Lemsford.

A police spokesman said: “The scene was cordoned off for investigation, this has now been released. Investigations are on-going.”

He added: “The victim [a man in his 50s] was approached from behind by the offender and as a result, he did not see the person and has been unable to give a description.”
