VISIT the Frost Fair at Hatfield House, which opens today (Friday), for truly sparkling gifts, goodies and the chance to bag family tickets to see Cinderella at Campus West, WGC.

Held in a magical setting in front of the Old Palace, childhood home of Elizabeth I, the event provides an atmospheric start to Christmas.

Browse the heated marquees for a wide range of unusual gifts. The event continues in the Riding School conference centre where there are yet more tempting items.

Lunches, coffees and teas are available in the Old Palace itself, and at the coffee cart in the Stable Yard.

Stable Yard retailers are becoming really popular with Hatfield visitors. Choose beautiful jewellery and craft items, antiques and curios together with delightful vintage gifts from The Oak Room.

Santa will be meeting young visitors in the Stable Yard. In the Old Palace, the National Association of Flower Arrangers will be using greenery from the West Garden to create effective Christmas arrangements to make your home look and smell wonderful this year.

Even table displays can be simple and satisfying to make, and very effective. The arrangements will be raffled for charity.

On Friday, the stars from Cinderella, the Campus West pantomime, will open the Fair. Come along and meet them.

The Welwyn Hatfield Times’ promotions team will also be there handing out goodies bags. Each day one of those lucky bags will contain a family ticket to see the Campus panto.
