MOTHER’S Day is just around the corner and the Welwyn Hatfield Times has teamed up with a florist to help make this an extra special year.

Not only have we got a beautiful 50 bouquet to give away to someone’s mummy, but we also have a second prize of a 30 planted basket up for grabs too.

Providing the prizes is Amity’s in Haldens, WGC, which is run by Kerry Gittings, who says Mothering Sunday is always a special time for her.

The shop manager was introduced to floristry by her mum.

She said: “Mother’s Day is always very important to me, although I’ll start my day here in the shop, I always make sure I spend time with mum too.”

Amity’s will be open from 6am on the day itself (April 3) so you can pick up the freshest flowers and Kerry’s also making deliveries at no extra charge.

*To nominate your mum to win one of our two special prizes, tell us why they deserve to be a winner.

Send both your name and your mum’s name, your ages, addresses and your contact telephone numbers to: Mother’s Day competition, WHT, 31a Howardsgate, WGC, Herts, AL8 6AP or email comps@whtimes.co.uk

Closing date is noon next Wednesday, March 30.

Normal Archant rules apply.

*If you’re not one of our lucky winners, call Amity’s on 01707 331199 to arrange your bouquet.
