Breeze the dog, Taylor the cat, and hamsters Broccoli and Bean are this week’s quartet of pets at RSPCA Southridge looking for new homes in the Welwyn Hatfield Times Potters Bar Edition’s weekly Find Me a Home appeal.

• Beautiful Breeze is a seven-year-old female Australian Shepherd, who was originally rescued from a multi dog household.

A Southridge spokeswoman said: “She is a very sweet girl who was nervous on arrival but is gaining confidence every day.

“She is looking for an experienced, adult only home where she will be the only pet.”

The RSPCA spokeswoman added: “She loves to play and would really benefit from training and socialisation classes.

“She is an intelligent, active girl who really deserves a special home.”

• Lovely Taylor is a five-year-old female domestic shorthair.

Taylor finds herself at Southridge as she was discovered as a stray in someone’s garden.

A spokeswoman for the animal centre in Packhorse Lane, Ridge, said: “She is a very sweet, friendly cat who is really coming out of her shell.”

Taylor may be able to live with another cat and possibly a friendly dog.

She will need time to settle into her new home and will also need access to the outdoors so she can explore at her leisure.

“Taylor really deserves a loving new home to call her own,” added the RSPCA spokeswoman.

• Cute Broccoli and Bean are two young, male Russian hamsters.

They came from a household where the hamsters were left to breed and the situation became out of control.

A spokeswoman added: “They are friendly boys who will require a spacious cage/tank with lots of toys to explore.”
