County councillor for Welwyn Garden City South, Lynn Chesterman, is supporting a thriving community centre with the allocation of £940 from her locality budget.

The Ludwick Family Club, which has charitable status, is a well-used community centre in Hall Grove, Welwyn Garden City, offering a wide variety of activities to all age ranges.

They include a preschool, a drug advisory service, a dance school, a prayer hall for the local Islamic Society, fitness, karate, yoga and tai chi classes, a U3A group and a computer club.

The funding from cllr Chesterman’s locality budget will help towards running costs.

The locality budget scheme has funded thousands of community projects since it was launched in 2009, supporting local good causes and making a real difference to people across Hertfordshire.

Each of the 77 members of Hertfordshire County Council has £10,000 a year to spend on worthwhile projects in their area and they welcome applications from across the local community.
