A VILLAGE lane was closed for six days after icy conditions forced two cars off the road.
Police were called on Christmas Eve at 9.50am after a silver Ford Focus “span out of control” on School Lane, in Welwyn, and blocked the road.
Herts Highways closed the route, however while it was closed, on Christmas Day, another driver suffered a similar fate.
The driver was trapped in the car when its doors failed to open at 6.45pm.
The road was re-opened on Wednesday December 29.
