THE United Kingdom Independence Party (UKIP) has named its parliamentary candidate for Welwyn Hatfield.
David Platt, 38, will face off against Tory MP Grant Shapps, Labour candidate Mike Hobday, Lib Dem Paul Zukowskyj and Green party contender Jill Weston at the next General Election, widely expected to take place on May 6.
David said: “Welwyn Hatfield typifies England, its people and its daily life.
“I want to play my part in safeguarding all that is good about the area and protecting it from a political agenda which wants to change the face of our countryside and our way of life.”
