This week’s Pet of the Week is a Welwyn Hatfield pooch who was found scared, hungry and alone but is now living the high life surrounded by love.

. Meet Paddy, the Labrador/Staffy cross who has just spent his first Christmas with his owner Tansy Beauchamp and the rest of his family.

This time last year the pup was found abandoned tied to a post in a forest.

After initially being scared of the woods, his new family have built up his love for them and you can now find Paddy chasing squirrels in them regularly.

Tansy said: “He is now very happy after being adopted earlier this year into a family of four. He loves cuddles, playing with his sisters and even has his own instagram @aslabofpaddy.

“We wanted to express how beneficial adoption can be to both a family and dog.”

If you have an adorable furry friend or a hilarious picture of your pet, send photos and a description to petoftheweek@ whtimes.co.uk Please include where you live in Welwyn Hatfield or Potters Bar.
