IT'S PANTOMIME season - and to help you decide which one to take your little ones to, the WHT has compiled a list of the shows in the area.

* The pantomime version of Disney's classic fairytale, Beauty and the Beast is on now at Campus West Theatre in WGC until January 1.

Be entertained by Beauty (Lauren Wood), the Beast (Daniel Oliver), professor Crackpot (Albert Clack), the Fairy godmother (Helen Crosse) and children from Shooting Stars Academy.

* This year's magical pantomime at the Gordon Craig Theatre in Stevenage is Jack and the Beanstalk.

The cast of Beauty and the Beast at the Wyllyotts Theatre in Potters Bar

It is on now until January 25.

The all star cast, including David Spinx - Keith Miller in EastEnders - who plays villainous Fleshcreep, and Ben Nicholas - Stingray in Neighbours - who plays Jack, tell the story of poor boy Jack, his mother and the giant.

* The classic well-known tale, Pinocchio is this year's Barn Theatre Christmas spectacular.

On now at the Handside Lane, WGC venue the show runs until January 3.

* Beauty and the Beast is currently entertaining audiences at the Wyllyotts Theatre in Potters Bar until Sunday, January 4.

Enjoy the usual baddie wanting boos, goodies with some gags, a heroine in hot water, but what has happened to the handsome Prince?

Beauty is played by Katie Ray, the Prince is played by Nicholas Maude and David Alder plays the Baron.

* Why not go and see pantomime Mother Goose on at Digswell Village Hall from New Year's Day?

This year's show, performed by Digswell Players, has dancing and music to tap your feet to and get you in the festive spirit.

The show runs until January 10.

* Witness the magic of pantomime in the show Jack and the Beanstalk on now at The Alban Arena.

Join hero Jack in his adventure up the beanstalk along with friends, Daisy the cow, Dame Trot, the Giant and of course the hen that lays the golden eggs along the way.

Heading the cast is one of Britain's best-loved comedy duos, Cannon and Ball, who will be sure to cause madness and mayhem.

Hopefully you will be left feeling... full of beans!
