The front page is the story of a 29-year-old Hatfield man who has pleaded with Home Office officals not to send him back to Pakistan.

Waqas Rameez said his grandfather was shot and killed, and fears he could face the same fate if he returns.

Also this week, the large-scale death of fish at a Welwyn Garden City lake has been likened to a ‘nuclear holocaust’ by angry fishermen.

The Environment Agency has been called after hundreds died in Stanborough Lake due to low oxygen levels.

Welwyn Hatfield MP Grant Shapps has branded the new QEII Hospital “useless” in a scathing attack.
