SQUABBLING neighbours in Welwyn Hatfield will soon find themselves the unlikely stars of a new TV show.

The documentary series will follow the work of people involved in ‘community mediation’.

Production company Maverick Television, makers of hit-shows Embarrassing Bodies and How to Look Good Naked, is planning to film in WGC and Hatfield.

Up and down the country there are teams of experts on hand to offer help and support in all areas of neighbourhood disputes.

And it’s their aim to resolve the issues for both parties involved.

A spokesman for the show said: “We’re speaking to a case in Hatfield at the moment and, if this all goes to plan, it would make sense for us to do some more filming there too.”

Possible gripes for the team to try and mediate include noises next door keeping people up at all hours, neighbours parking in annoying spots, or nosy neighbours snooping over the garden fence.

Series producer Fiona Inskip said: “Often there’s a straightforward, mutually agreeable solution to a dispute, but rather than talk rationally to each other when the problem first arises, neighbours let disagreements simmer to boiling point, by which time everyone is simply too angry to work out a solution. This is where our team of experts come to the rescue”
