A Welwyn Hatfield charity that provides Christmas Day meals for lonely and elderly people enjoyed a "fantastic" fundraiser despite the dreary weather.
More than 80 people flocked to The Mixed Group’s summer buffet lunch over the weekend, held in Mill Green Museum, which raised around £900.
Visitors were treated to sandwiches, cakes, pastries and scones while soaking up 60s and 70s classics from Welwyn musician and entertainer John Croft.
Beers, wines and soft drinks were also available, along with a raffle with 30 donated prizes ranging from hampers to a dressing gown and plant pots.
The Mixed Group founder Sean Cox said: “It was wonderful to see so many people coming out and showing their support.
“There was a fantastic atmosphere with lots of people chatting and laughing together, and I would just like to thank everybody who helped to make it such a success.”
