THESE boots are made for walking, and that’s just what they’ll do, and in a few weeks these boots are gonna walk all over Welwyn Hatfield.

For this year’s Welwyn Hatfield Rotary Walk is fast approaching.

The Sunday, May 8 charity trek over the footpaths, bridleways and woodlands of the Ayots and the Lee Valley, will commence at 9am at the Campus West car park in WGC and finish at around 3.30pm.

Welwyn Hatfield mayor Howard Morgan will officially open the annual event.

You can walk 11 or six miles for a charity of your choice, with 25 per cent of all sponsorship going to the Rotary Clubs of Hatfield and WGC’s array of good causes.

A Rotary spokesman told the WHT: “To date over 250,000 has been raised by those taking part in the walk for a wide range of local and other charitable causes.

“Every penny of the sponsorship money received by the Rotary Clubs goes to charity.”

The reception desk at Campus West car park will open at 8.45am. All walkers will need to register individually and must start the walk by 10.30am at the latest.

Walkers should aim to finish by 3.30pm.

Entry costs 5 and forms can be picked up at the WHT’s office at 31A Howardsgate, WGC.
