An annual fundraising walk which has raised thousands of pounds for charities in Welwyn Hatfield will be held earlier than usual this year.

Organisers of the Annual Rotary Charity Walk, supported by the Welwyn Hatfield Times, will happen on Sunday, April 27.

Walkers, who will be raising money for a good cause of their choosing, can choose between a long 11 mile route, and a shorter two-mile walk.

Both walks start at the Campus in Welwyn Garden City.

A spokesman from the Hatfield and Welwyn Garden City Rotary Clubs, which organise the event, said: “We are delighted to have support this year from Ramblers Worldwide Holidays, Quadrant Design & Print Solutions, Citrus Design and the Welwyn Hatfield Times.

“This support means that all monies raised will go to charity.

“This walk is an excellent opportunity for anyone wishing to raise funds for a charity of their own choice.

“A number of eager supporters have already signed up for the event.”

Anyone who does not wish to raise sponsorship can simply turn up and walk, with their entry fee going to charity.

Entry forms and additional information are available from Times Towers or via www.whwalk.org.uk.
