Welwyn Hatfield police officers had their contributions recognised earlier this month

Welwyn Hatfield officers and members of the Special Constabulary had their contributions recognised at a police awards ceremony.

The Chief Constable’s Awards Ceremony earlier this month was held at police headquarters in Welwyn Garden City, and guest of honour the Right Reverend Dr Michael Beasley made the presentations.

Hatfield-based inspector Mark Corkin received his Long Service and Good Conduct Medal for 20 years’ service, while special sergeant Marcus Parkins, a member of the Special Constabulary (volunteers with full police powers), received his award for 19 years’ service.

Welwyn Garden City based special inspector Gemma Andrews, and special sergeant Michael Harnett, also based in the Garden City, both received awards for their nine years of service.
