THE six parliamentary candidates vying for your vote at the General Election on May 6 are gearing up for tonight’s election hustings at the University of Hertfordshire.

The public meeting, which is being organised jointly by the WHT and the Hatfield-based uni, will see Grant Shapps (Con), Mike Hobday (Lab), Paul Zukowskyj (Lib Dem), Jill Weston (Green), David Platt (UKIP) and Nigel Parker (Ind) answering questions from a studio audience numbering 250.

The hustings, which will take place at the Forum in College Lane, starts at 6.30pm and is expected to finish at 8pm.

Attendees are asked to arrive from 6.30pm when car parking will be free.

Only those who have reserved tickets will be permitted entry to the auditorium.

Following the meeting, the bar will open.
