NEW Welwyn Hatfield MP Grant Shapps was shocked after polling more than 27,000 votes in the General Election.
The Conservative told the Welwyn Hatfield Times: “I am genuinely shocked.
“I want to say thank you to my friends and family and to everybody who voted for me.
“I hope that we can finish this by getting a Conservative government.”
MP Shapps said he now plans to make the QE2 Hospital his major concern.
