MP Grant Shapps has added another feather to his cap after being appointed the minister for local government.
The Welwyn Hatfield MP has already been made housing minister and a member of the Privy Council in David Cameron’s coalition government.
He was given the role on Wednesday, after his ministerial appointments were passed by the Queen.
As a member of the Department for Communities and Local Government, Mr Shapps will be tackling issues concerning councils across the country.
His other new ministerial responsibilities will include tackling regeneration, as well as climate change and sustainable development.
