Welwyn Hatfield mayor Pat Mabbott will round off her year of office with an afternoon of traditional pub games at her local boozer in support of people with disabilities.

Councillor Mabbott invites everyone in the borough to join her at The Sun Inn in Lemsford, challenging them to have a go at skittles, darts, dominoes marbles, and many other games.

The event, which will include traditional pub food and a quiz, will raise funds for her chosen cause, Hertfordshire Action on Disability (HAD), which is based in The Commons, Welwyn Garden City.

She said: “We’re all looking forward to trying out some of the brilliant pub games of times gone by.

Some of the youngsters won’t have played these games before, but I’m excited to see how they get on. I’m sure there will be lots of fun for the whole family.”

The fun will start at 3pm on Saturday, April 29.

To enter a team of up to six members for the quiz, contact Paul Bishop on 07973 237162, or Sun Inn manager Adam Mayson on 01707 32224.

HAD enables older and disabled people to lead independent lives by providing mobility equipment and advice.
