ARE you a keen golfer? If so, perhaps you would like to take part in a charity golf competition to be held in WGC next month?

The tournament will raise money for Welwyn Hatfield mayor Kim Langley's chosen charities, the Old Hatfield-based Willow Foundation and Welwyn Hatfield Women's Refuge.

Teams of four will go head to head to win the Mayor's Trophy, while there will also be prizes on offer for the longest drive, best single score and best dressed golfer.

Cllr Langley said: "I'm not a golfer, but I give anything a go!

"Golf days are a great way for local businesses to network and if we can raise money for my charities at the same time, even better."

The tournament takes place at Panshanger Golf Complex, in Old Herns Lane, on September 25.
