Welwyn Hatfield's would-be Labour MP toured the borough in his own bus on Saturday to push his message to voters.
Parliamentary candidate Anawar Miah was joined by councillors and other campaigners in the centres of both Hatfield and WGC, inviting shoppers for tea of coffee on the bus.
The professional barrister told the Welwyn Hatfield Times: “I have seen how difficult it can sometimes be to get on in life not least when you have humble beginnings for I have been there.
“However, I believe that every child deserves a chance and every senior deserves dignity.
“We all have a role to play, because we all do better, when we, as one nation, work together.”
“In a time of proposed bus service cuts, there is a serious point to be made about the important role that buses play in the lives of local residents.”
The Labour Party plans a busy role for the bus up to the General Election on May 7, and invites everyone on board to discuss issues of concern.”
