The parliamentary constituency of Welwyn Hatfield will grow substantially if newly-published boundary changes are approved.

Under the Boundary Commission for England’s proposals, just published for public consultation, Welwyn Hatfield would expand to the east, consuming villages including Tewin, Bramfield, Little Berkamsted, and Bayfordbury.

The commission says the proposed changes will make the British political map fairer, but they have been criticised by the Labour Party, which is likely to lose Westminster seats.
