AN environmental group is seeking a new officer to help organise its activites.
Welwyn Hatfield Friends of the Earth wants to hear from residents who might be interested in becoming a volunteer co-ordinator.
Current co-ordinator Wendy Attwell, who is stepping down due to ill health, described the role as “great fun” and “extremely rewarding”.
She said: “You’ll meet loads of like-minded people and have the chance to make a real difference in the local community.
“I’ve loved my time with the group and am sad to be stepping down.
“Friends of the Earth give excellent support to their local group co-ordinators, so anyone interested in the role shouldn’t worry about lack of experience – enthusiasm is what you need!”
